HB 302 2/8/11:
A public hearing HB 302 relative to renewable energy portfolios was held before House Science, Technology and Energy Committee chair by Rep. James Garrity (R-Atkinson). Following action on the bill to ITL (Inexpedient to Legislate), a Public Information Session was held on the Northern Pass project. It was packed room to say the least with an overflow crowd in the 3rd floor hallway and the lobby.

* NOTE *: The item will appear on the "Consent Calendar" for the whole House of Representatives to agree or disagree with the committee recommendation. Any member who wishes to pull the bill from the Consent Calendar may be able to do so and open debate on the House floor for passage or rejection. Stay tuned for when the matter appears on the Consent Calendar.

The prime sponsor, Rep. Richard Barry (R-Merrimack) moves to have HB 302 killed and the committee voted 15-0 to ITL.
