Public Scoping Meeting- Pembroke 3/14/11:
The U.S. Dept. of Energy held the first of a series of Public Scoping Meetings on the Northern Pass Project. They held their first on in Pembroke. There were approximately 500 in attendance.

Brian Mills of the Dept. of Energy gave the opening remarks about how the process works, what they will consider from the testimony given, and the public comment periods.
Diane Watson
Diane Watson of Manchester talked about the poor attempts at notifying property owners and doesn't believe the economic benefits stated by Northern Pass.
Ray D'Amante
Ray D'Amante is an attorney in the Concord area that is representing some homeowners who could be affected by Northern Pass. He discussed the declining property values and the Pembroke Town Meeting this weekend.
Margaret Jones
Margaret Jones of N. Stratford talked about how humans are part of the environment and how she cannot sleep at night.
